Frequently Asked Questions:
-
Why should I hire a cinematographer for my event?
If you love the idea of reliving your wedding day or special event in New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, or Delaware for years to come, then event cinematography is a must-have! Specializing in weddings, our talented team at FNA Events can customize a wedding video package to fit your unique needs. Our wedding cinematographers are experts at capturing both audio and video to tell the beautiful story of your day with creative and dynamic shots. If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine the endless joy you'll get from your wedding video!
-
When will the cinematographer be arriving for my wedding?
Our wedding cinematographers typically arrive at the same time as the lead photographer to start capturing all the intricate details. Film crews often begin earlier to set up B-roll and drone footage shots. We aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early to account for traffic, and new locations, and to ensure everything, including drones, are ready to go.
-
Should I consider hiring a second cinematographer?
Absolutely! A second cinematographer is a fantastic addition, especially for weddings where the couple is getting ready at different locations. While we can reenact some prep moments, nothing beats capturing the raw, real-time emotions. A solo cinematographer can manage close-by locations, but having a second ensures we don’t miss a single moment!
-
Are multiple cameras used? When?
For smaller events like birthday or engagement parties, a single camera might suffice. However, for weddings in New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, or Delaware, our cinematographers bring 3-4 cameras to capture every angle of your big day. One camera covers bride/groom prep, another captures the first look, and three cameras are used during the ceremony and key reception moments like intros, dances, and speeches. With a second shooter, we can even capture stunning drone footage of outdoor ceremonies.
-
Approximately how long in length will my film(s) be?
Teaser Film: 1-2 minutes
Highlight Film: 3-5 minutes
Full-Length Film: 15-20 minutes
Total Feature / Bonus Raw Film: 1-4 hours
-
Approximately how long after my event will I receive my film(s)?
Teaser Film: 24-72 hours
Highlight Film: Up to 2 months
Full-Length Film: Up to 6 months
Ceremony / Reception documentary: Up to 6 months
Total Feature / Bonus Raw Film: Up to 6 months
-
How does drone footage in my film(s) work?
If drone is part of the package you selected, they can capture incredible shots like the hotel or house prep, the venue, first looks, the ceremony, golden hour, and exit shots. Drone footage provides excellent establishing shots and longer panning shots to enhance your film. The cinematographer will decide if it's safe to launch the drone, considering the weather and proximity to airports.
-
What kind of music will be used in my film(s)?
Our Director of Film making will decide appropriate use of music for films. FNA Events subscribes to a database of royalty-free music, typically used for highlight films to avoid copyright issues when sharing. For Full-Length Films or Total Feature Films, editors may use music from your day, including ceremony music, first dances, and reception tunes.
-
How will my film be delivered and at what quality?
Your films from FNA Events will be delivered digitally through Mediazilla, a platform that privately hosts your wedding films in a beautiful library with easy navigation. We may also provide links to Vimeo or YouTube for sharing. We shoot in high-quality 4K and 1080p, using various frame rates (24, 60, 120 fps) for breathtaking slow-motion shots.
