Why should we hire a videographer?
Photos freeze a moment, but film brings back the voices, vows, music, and energy of the day. FNA videographers capture audio and video together and use creative, dynamic shots to tell your story, so years from now you can hear the toasts and relive the first dance exactly as it happened.
When does the videographer arrive?
Usually at the same time as the lead photographer, to start on the details. Film crews often begin a little earlier to set up B-roll and drone shots. We aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow for traffic and new locations and to get every camera ready.
How many cameras do you use?
For weddings, our cinematographers bring 3 to 4 cameras. One covers prep, another captures the first look, and three cover the ceremony and key reception moments like introductions, first dances, and speeches. Smaller parties may only need one camera.
How long are the films?
A teaser runs 1 to 2 minutes, a highlight film 3 to 5 minutes, and a full-length film 15 to 20 minutes. Some packages also include a raw feature of 1 to 4 hours with the ceremony and reception footage.
How long until we receive our films?
Teasers arrive within 24 to 72 hours. Highlight films take up to 2 months. Full-length films, ceremony and reception documentaries, and raw features take up to 6 months.
How does drone footage work?
If your package includes drone, we can capture the getting-ready location, the venue, the first look, the ceremony, golden hour, and your exit. Your cinematographer decides whether it is safe to fly, based on the weather and how close the venue is to an airport.
What music is used in our films?
Highlight films use music from a licensed, royalty-free library, so you can share them online without copyright problems. Full-length and feature films may also use audio from your day, such as ceremony music, first dances, and reception songs.
Can we bundle videography with photography and a DJ?
Yes. Fresh Ensemble pairs lead and second videographers with pro audio and drone, plus photography and a premium DJ and host. Every FNA combo package costs less than booking the same services separately.
